HOPE
Sweden
For several years an intense movement in favour of the situation of hospitalized children and their parents has been developing. A swedish law enacted in 1977 established that every hospitalized child had the right to the therapeutic game. One of the objectives of the therapeutic game is to neutralize the negative effects that hospitalization causes, as well as avoid the delay of child development. Another objective is that of encourage and stimulate parents with the purpose of participating in the treatment of their children.
