This teaching of hospitalized children activity was very developed since the 50s, imparted by teachers with three years of general training and two of specialized training for teaching in hospitals.

Once finalized their stay in hospital the program followed during hospitalization was sent to the school along with the results obtained and pertinent observations. Also for cases of prolonged hospitalization it was possible to enroll the child in the national centre for long distance education.
